ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – “Banana Ball” is coming back to Isotopes Park for a second consecutive year.

The Party Animals, who played two games in Albuquerque against the Savannah Bananas in 2024, will be back in Duke City May 24-25, 2025. The two games will launch the 2025 world tour for The Party Animals, as they will welcome a new team to Banana Ball, the Texas Tailgaters.

The Party Animals top returning pitcher from 2024, Drew Gillespie, is an Albuquerque native who played for Sandia High School and UNM. He appeared in the 2024 series against the Bananas at Isotopes Park and is looking forward to being the headliner instead of the enemy this time around.

“Very similar show to what the fans saw last year, but we’re in charge,” said Gillespie. “Expect way more partying, and bringing the Tailgaters is another team that’s going to bring that pre-game party. It’s going to be a good weekend in Albuquerque.”
