LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — Police have responded to a crash involving a train and a pedestrian on Lebanon Road.

Authorities confirmed that they responded to a crash involving a pedestrian and a WeGo Star train on Friday afternoon. The Lebanon Police Department posted to X at 5:11 p.m., formerly Twitter, that the right westbound lane of Highway 70 would be shut down.

“At this time, details are limited,” the post added.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office told News 2 that this marked the second incident involving a train crash on Friday. The first incident was reported at 5:30 a.m. and did not involve any injuries.

A WeGo spokesperson told News 2 that there were no injuries reported on the train from the Friday afternoon incident. The spokesperson added that train service would be delayed and buses would be used to fill in service.

It is unclear for how much longer authorities will be at the scene.
