NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities are investigating a shooting related to road rage in Nashville’s Bellshire area that sent one person to the hospital Sunday evening.

Metro Nashville dispatch said the shooting was reported just after 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6 from the intersection of Dickerson Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard West.


15-year-old girl fatally shot in Priest Lake area

A member of the Metro Nashville Police Department told News 2 it was a road rage incident that started at Interstate 65 and Old Hickory Boulevard West between two people in separate vehicles.

When they got to the red light at Dickerson Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard West, the individuals reportedly exchanged words, got out of their vehicles, and started fighting before one pulled out a gun and shot the other in the left side.


Child critically injured in hit-and-run in Nashville

According to police, the victim was brought to TriStar Skyline Medical Center, but there is no word on the nature of that person’s injuries.

No additional details have been released about the circumstances surrounding this road rage shooting.
