NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Police told News 2 they are searching for a suspect in a deadly Sunday night shooting in South Nashville.

According to Metro Nashville Dispatch, the shooting was reported in the 1200 block of Foster Avenue, near STEM Prep High School and Nashville School of the Arts, shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6.

The Metro Nashville Police Department said officers from the South Precinct arrived and found a man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the suspect left the scene on foot, armed with a handgun. He was described as wearing a grey hoodie and light blue jeans.


15-year-old girl fatally shot in Priest Lake area

Officers on the scene told News 2 shortly after 8 p.m. that the suspect was still at large. No additional details have been released about this incident.
