Albany County’s month-long Halloween event, All-Hallow E’en Festival has returned for its second October. For five weeks, Discovery Albany will host a variety of community events, art installations and ghost tours to celebrate the history throughout Albany and the Halloween spirit.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Albany County’s month-long Halloween event, All-Hallow E’en Festival has returned for its second October. For five weeks, Discovery Albany will host a variety of community events, art installations and ghost tours to celebrate the history throughout Albany and the Halloween spirit.

After a 100-year hiatus, the festival was revived in 2023, showcasing both the cultural and creative backgrounds of the region. According to Discover Albany’s CEO Jill Delaney, the festival creates a larger community with visitors from all over the region.

“Not only does the festival showcase our local talent, but it also fosters a sense of pride for the community and encourages visitors to join the celebration as we embrace the Halloween spirit and the history we have here,” Delaney said. “We’re looking forward to an exciting month and continuing to grow the festival each year.”

The month-long festival will include ghost tours, a Halloween Ball, walking tours, art installations and even a dog trick-or-treating. “Haunted history and true crime tours, thematic public art, live theatre, and an over-the-top Halloween House Ball — it’s scary how much there is to do in Albany this Halloween season,” said Discover Albany Director of Community Engagement Maeve McEneny-Johnson.
