Week 5 of the NFL season kicked off in full on Sunday.

Year 10 of Marcus Mariota‘s NFL career officially got underway on Sunday, as the Saint Louis alumnus made his 2024 debut for the Washington Commanders.

Mariota was activated from injured reserve earlier in the week went 1-for-3 with -2 yards and two rushes for two yards in mop-up duty as the Commanders routed the Cleveland Browns 34-13.

Although Mariota was set to become the first NFL quarterback to ever don the jersey number 0, Mariota changed his jersey number to 18, citing his affinity for the 8, the number he’s worn for the vast majority of his football career. The number currently belongs to Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr.

Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, offensive lineman, Baltimore Ravens (Keaau): Aumavae-Laulu was active but did not accrue any statistics in a 41-38 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ka’imi Fairbairn, kicker, Houston Texans (Punahou): Fairbairn made all three of his field goal attempts, including a long of 59 yards, as well as both of his extra point tries in a 23-20 win over the Buffalo Bills.

Alohi Gilman, safety, Los Angeles Chargers (Kahuku): The Chargers had a bye during Week 5.

Kamu Grugier-Hill, linebacker, Minnesota Vikings (Kamehameha): Grugier-Hill had three tackles (two solo) as the Vikings improved to 5-0 with a 23-17 win over the New York Jets in London.

Nick Herbig, linebacker, Pittsburgh Steelers (Saint Louis): The Steelers and Cowboys will play each other on Sunday Night Football.

Andrei Iosivas, receiver, Cincinnati Bengals (Punahou): Iosivas had one catch for 39 yards in a 41-38 overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Jonah Laulu, defensive lineman, Las Vegas Raiders (University of Hawaii): Laulu was active but did not accumulate any statistics in a 34-18 win over the Denver Broncos.

Marist Liufau, linebacker, Dallas Cowboys (Punahou): The Steelers and Cowboys will play each other on Sunday Night Football.

Kana’i Mauga, linebacker, Las Vegas Raiders (Waianae): Like Laulu, Mauga was active but did not accumulate any statistics in the win over Broncos.

Darius Muasau, linebacker, New York Giants (Mililani and University of Hawaii): Muasau played in the team’s 29-20 upset victory over the Seattle Seahawks but did not record any statistics.

Rigoberto Sanchez, punter, Indianapolis Colts (University of Hawaii): Sanchez punted four times for a total of 210 yards in a 37-34 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Isaac Seumalo, offensive lineman, Pittsburgh Steelers (born in Hawaii): The Steelers and Cowboys will play each other on Sunday Night Football.

Jahlani Tavai, linebacker, New England Patriots (University of Hawaii): Tavai had five tackles (two solo) including a tackle for loss in a 15-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Roman Wilson, receiver, Pittsburgh Steelers (Saint Louis): Wilson was ruled inactive prior to the team’s game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
