BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Brunswick community recently came together in support of a breast cancer patient. The Brunswick Bulldogs football team took to the field on Saturday to tackle breast cancer, and the stands were filled with people in pink.
T-shirt sales organized by David Bader supported Brittany Fitzmaurice, a nurse practitioner, mom of three and soccer coach who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 and who is currently struggling to get insurance coverage for her next and most complicated surgery.
The first visit with that surgeon is this week.
