CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Dog & Duck Family Pubs have announced temporary closures at two of their locations due to recent events.

The Park West location is currently closed after an electrical fire broke out overnight on Sunday. According to the company, “The fire suppression system did its thing, but there is still lots of damage inside the walls that we are uncovering.” The team is working on assessing the damage and figuring out the next steps. They plan to update patrons once more information is available.

Meanwhile, Dog & Duck Belle Hall will be closed through Thursday, October 10. The closure is to ensure guest safety while the pub completes construction on a new patio. “The guy building out the patio will be working with steel and other heavy stuff, so we don’t want guests around the heavy equipment!” said the company. They aim to reopen as soon as possible with a refreshed patio area for guests to enjoy.

Additionally, Dog & Duck is temporarily pausing its donations for Hurricane Helene relief efforts. “We know they will need more donations in the coming weeks, so we want to regroup and figure out the best way to help our neighbors,” the company shared.

For now, patrons are encouraged to visit Dog & Duck’s other locations at Clements Ferry and Moncks Corner, which remain open for business.
