A suspect is being held without bail by police in Cambridge after allegedly hiding in the girl’s bathroom at the Museum of Science and then trying to kidnap a 15-year-old girl.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WWLP) – A suspect is being held without bail by police in Cambridge after allegedly hiding in the girl’s bathroom at the Museum of Science and then trying to kidnap a 15-year-old girl.


Ware man arrested on child sex abuse charges

State police say it happened Sunday when they were called after the girl fought off the attacker in the bathroom. The suspect ran before police got there but they were able to use surveillance camera videos to identify him and arrested him on Tuesday. 

The suspect, 24-year-old Yandri Hernandez from Somerville, now faces charges for kidnapping of a child, strangulation, and assault and battery. He’s expected back in court Friday for a dangerousness hearing.
