According to the West Springfield Police Department, at around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, a 911 caller stated that a driver, who was operating recklessly, pointed a gun at them on Route 5 in the area of the Memorial Bridge.

While talking with dispatch, the caller who had a 3-year-old child in the car, described the vehicle including the plate number and what the driver looked like as they both continued traveling in the same direction on Route 5.
