On October 13, 2024, reporters reported that Special committee considers draft An Act to cancel some announcements and orders of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO orders) that are unnecessary and inappropriate for the present time. Member of the House of Representatives Considered canceling the order NCPO using the draft Cabinet Acts are the main ones. which has 23 items attached to the list, including consideration of canceling additional 13 items from other political party drafts, including NCPO Orders No. 10/2014, 26/2014, 80/2014 and 22/2018, as well as the Head’s Order NCPO No. 14/2018, 3/2015, 53/2017 and 13/2018 and NCPO Announcements No. 39/2014, 40/2014, 57/2014, 1/2019 and 2/2019, made as of today. The Commission has considered canceling a total of 36 issues.

Mr. Jaturon Chaisaeng, Chairman of the Commission, said that all 36 of these orders can be completed easily because they are unnecessary orders. There is no need to write laws to support it. and the relevant agencies agree that it can be canceled However, the Commission will expedite the repeal of additional versions that affect people’s human rights as a matter of utmost urgency.

“We have prepared another 17 items that we consider will affect people’s rights and freedoms. It may be necessary to ask for opinions from government agencies as to whether there are any pending actions or not. Or is it a pending case? If so, how should supporting scripts be written so as not to cause any party to lose their rights? All of which the commission will consider as soon as possible,” Mr. Chaturon said.
