HONOLULU (KHON2) — Crews made up of the best of the best outrigger canoe paddlers will make their way across the Kaiwi Channel on Sunday morning–itʻs a race that shouldnʻt be missed. So, how can you watch all the live action as it happens?

Viewers can catch second-by-second coverage on KHII, KHON2.com and KHON2ʻs YouTube page, as the prestigious event starts at Hale o Lono at 7:30 a.m. and ends in Waikiki.

All the action will be captured by Emmy Award winning Salt + Air Studios with coverage from the Kaiwi Channel by boat and air, with live commentary from Polynésie1ère correspondent Johann Bouit, OHCRAʻs Kawika Crivello, Thibert Lusiaa, Jane McKee, Shelley Oates Wilding and KHON2ʻs own Chris Latronic.

In-studio will be Malia Pietsch Kamisugi, Walter Guild, legendary Tahitian paddler Lewis Laughlin and KHON2ʻs Kamaka Pili.

Jenn Boneza will be at the starting line at Hale o Lono while Howard Dashefsky will bring live coverage as crews cross the finish line.

This yearʻs race will be broadcast live in Tahiti via Polynésie1ère, the Tahiti affiliate of FranceTV.

Broadcast and streaming coverage will end at 2 p.m.
