Police arrested a man over the weekend after he was accused of selling drugs from a Hendersonville market.

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Police have obtained warrants for a man after he was accused of selling drugs from a Hendersonville market.

According to the Hendersonville Police Department, a search warrant was conducted at New Shackle Island Market and Smoke Shop in the 200 block of New Shackle Island Road on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Officers reportedly conducted the search after “traffic stops led to arrests connected to the resale of drugs from the market.”

During a search of the market, police said they found marijuana and numerous Galaxy Gas containers.

Hendersonville police said the search led them to identify 25-year-old Omar Alazab as a suspect. He faces charges that include possession with intent to sell/distribute Schedule VI, inhalants in the form of gasses, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

Authorities reported that they have received “multiple complaints and tips” about illegal activity similar to the incident at the market, adding that they will continue to investigate if any additional charges will be placed.
