A spokesperson for the Metro Nashville Police Department told News 2 that officers recovered a weapon on South 13th Street.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police told News 2 that a man was shot in East Nashville on Monday night.

Metro Dispatch said that the call came in at roughly 6:39 p.m. in the 1100 block of Woodland Street. A spokesperson for the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) told News 2 that the shooting appears to have happened inside a vehicle on South 13th Street.


Woman dies after shooting in Antioch

The victim reportedly ran to the intersection of 11th Street and Woodland Street and went into a business to ask for help. Police added that he was transported with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries from a single gunshot wound.

A gun was recovered on South 13th Street. No other information was immediately released.
