NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro Dispatch confirmed that authorities responded to a shooting that sent one person to an area hospital. That victim later died from her injuries, according to Metro police.
The shooting was reported at roughly 5:30 p.m. in the 14000 block of Old Hickory Boulevard. Metro police told News 2 that a woman suffered from a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment, where she died.
Authorities on the scene told News 2 that at the time, no suspects have been taken into custody and that they are still speaking with witnesses.
