In preparation for the Royal Kathin ceremony, the Royal Thai Navy will conduct a full-dress rehearsal of the Royal Barge Procession on Oct 22. From 3-6pm, visitors can watch the training run along the banks of the Chao Praya River from the Rama VIII Bridge to Wat Arun.

 

The procession features 52 barges, including the four major royal barges — Suphannahong, Narayana Song Suban King Rama IX, Anantanagaraj and Anekajatbhujonga — and requires 2,200 oarsmen.
