FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Two Fayette County councilmembers are set to appear in court Wednesday after a protective restraining order was filed. Sixth District Councilmember Denise Gray filed the order against Fourth District Councilwoman Brenda Monarrez, alleging aggressive behavior.

The restraining order was approved, and the judge ruled that Monarrez is no longer permitted to attend council meetings in person and must work from home.

The two councilmembers are scheduled to appear in Fayette County Court at 1 p.m. this afternoon.
