The Honolulu Fire Department is searching for a missing kayaker near Magic Island.
HONOLULU (KHON2) –The Honolulu Fire Department is searching for a missing kayaker near Magic Island.
According to HFD, around 6:28 p.m. they received a call regarding the missing kayaker.
The first unit arrived on scene by 6:35 p.m.
It was reported that around 4 p.m. a group of kayakers decided to make a run from the Ala Wai Channel to Diamond Head but encountered to rough of conditions and decided to turn back.
It was their way back that they noticed they were missing a kayaker.
At 11 p.m. there were 10 units on scene actively searching for the kayaker.
