The 109th presentation of the William Pynchon medal took place at the Basketball Hall of Fame in downtown Springfield.

Hampden County District Attorney, Anthony Gulluni, Senior vice president of Liberty Bank, Jeff Sattler, and chairman of the Vann Group, Kevin Vann, were all honored Thursday evening. The medal represents a token of their endless service to the community.

It was especially impactful and poignant for me because my father was given the award in 1997.

Anthony Gulluni, Hampden County District Attorney

I’ve been to so many of these for others and here I am standing with my peers, I feel honored and humbled.

Jeff Sattler, Senior Vice President, Liberty Bank

I grew up here not too far from where we are tonight and for me, it feels like I’m going back home.

Kevin Vann, Chairman, The Vann Group

The first-ever recipients of the Pynchon Medal were honored back in 1915. The Advertising Club of Western Massachusetts hopes to continue the tradition of honoring those who put service over self.
