A teenage boy is facing multiple charges, including homicide, following a Wednesday evening shooting in Madison that resulted in the death of another teen.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A teenage boy is facing multiple charges, including homicide, following a Wednesday evening shooting in Madison that resulted in the death of another teen.
Metro Nashville Dispatch told News 2 that a call came in from the 300 block of East Webster Street just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16. However, the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) later reported the shooting happened on Gallavista Avenue.
Authorities said 18-year-old Micah Pruitt and a 20-year-old man — both of whom had gunshot wounds — arrived at TriStar Skyline Medical Center just after 6 p.m. in a Toyota Camry with “multiple bullet defects.”
According to officials, Pruitt was pronounced dead at the hospital. Meanwhile, the 20-year-old — who reportedly drove himself and Pruitt to Skyline in the Camry — was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
Then, on Thursday, Oct. 17, authorities said 16-year-old Brayan Sandoval-Ortuno came to MNPD headquarters to provide a statement about his involvement in Pruitt’s death.
Police said Sandoval-Ortuno “confessed to firing at Pruitt during a narcotics transaction.” As a result, he was taken into custody and charged in Juvenile Court with criminal homicide and aggravated assault.
No additional details have been released about this case.
