Pattaya City-
Mr. Wuttisak Reumkitcharoen, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, chaired a recent meeting to prepare a project aimed at enhancing the health of the people of Khlong Nok Yang in Na Kluea. Organized by the Pattaya City Change Leaders Group (PCA), the meeting focused on developing and conserving the last mangrove forest in Pattaya City.
The project, led by Dr. Nathamon Ajsong, President of the PCA, aims to improve the health of Khlong Nok Yang residents and promote serious cooperation for the development of the mangrove forest. Previous efforts had failed due to lack of collaboration, making this project crucial for conservation.
Dr. Nathamon highlighted the cooperation from various sectors, including the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, the Harbor Department, the Department of Fisheries, EGAT, TAT, and other relevant agencies. The main goal is to restore and complete the mangrove forest, which involves surveying and studying suitable tree species to plant, ensuring harmony within the ecosystem.
This initiative is a further development from TAT’s efforts, aiming to enhance the mangrove forest’s completeness. The project symbolizes a collective effort to preserve Pattaya City’s last mangrove forest and support sustainable community development.
