ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It’s finally starting to feel like fall. All around New Mexico, numerous storms and scattered showers have started to pop up while temperatures remain cool. As snow starts to fall on various mountains across the land of enchantment, KRQE asked viewers via both Instagram and Facebook if they were prepared for the sudden shift in weather trends.

The majority of viewers are ready and excited for the cooler weather. One hopes for a snowy winter, saying, “Bring on snowboard season!!!” Many viewers were enthusiastic about the temperature drop and are looking forward to the end of a long, hot summer.

While many viewers welcome the new chill in the air, some aren’t yet fully prepared for winter. One mentioned that they were “ready for ‘cooler weather’ but not cold! ” Luckily, daily highs return to warmer temperatures next week, so there’s no need to start winterizing just yet.

Those viewers who aren’t quite ready for the sudden shift in temperature still acknowledge its arrival. When asked if they were prepared for cooler weather, one viewer said, “Not really, but so grateful we have all four seasons! We need them all!”
