Chon Buri Immigration officers detained a Jordanian man at a fitness centre in Pattaya for overstaying his visa by more than 490 days.
The Jordanian national, 24 year old Yaha Abdel Rauof Yahya Alsakran, was apprehended on Wednesday, October 16 after being located in the Khao Phra Tamnak area of Pattaya.
The arrest followed a tip from concerned locals who reported that a Jordanian man, frequently seen at the fitness centre with his foreign friends, had an expired visa. Officers conducted a surveillance operation around the area before identifying Alsakran, who matched the description provided by the informants.
Approaching Alsakran, the officers requested to see his passport and travel documents. Upon inspection, it was revealed that the Jordanian had entered Thailand on March 17 through Phuket Airport on a tourist visa. This visa was valid until May…
