SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Price Chopper and Market 32 have issued a recall on PICS brand frozen waffles. According to the company, the Treehouse Foods manufacturer is recalling the waffle products due to a possible listeria contamination.
The retailer said the product can be returned to the store for a full refund. Many of those who have purchased the products have been contacted through the retailer’s Broadnet recall notification program, which uses purchase data and consumer phone numbers on file with their AdvantEdge card to alert those who have purchased items in question.
According to the manufacturer, there have been no confirmed reports of illness linked to the recalled products. Potentially contaminated waffles are also being sold at Walmart, Hannaford, Target and Tops.
