The Latest Storm Tracker Forecast from Meteorologist Kevin Appleby:

What a stretch of weather we’re in at the moment! It continues today with a ton of sunshine and well above-average temperatures. Even warmer conditions are in store for the first half of the work week, but a cold front late Wednesday will send temperatures back to more seasonable levels.

Unlike the past few days, I expect a couple of clouds here and there with a disturbance swinging through southeastern Canada. Otherwise, it’s essentially a slightly warmer version of Saturday’s weather with temperatures peaking in the upper 60s and lower 70s after a frosty start in a lot of areas.

A light wind will pick up after midnight, keeping temperatures from crashing as low as they have for the past four mornings. Seasonably mild low temperatures are in store with most areas staying at or above 40 degrees by Monday morning.

Similarly sunny conditions are on tap for Monday with temperatures climbing a few more degrees after a milder start to the day.

Tuesday looks to be the peak of this warmer weather with widespread highs in the mid 70s. Wednesday is a worthy follow-up, but clouds will be on the increase ahead of a cold front.

This cold front will bring a period of scattered showers Wednesday night, with a shower or two lingering into Thursday morning. It will be breezy and much cooler Thursday afternoon behind the cold front with partial sunshine. Some residual moisture may linger in wake of this disturbance, spawning isolated showers. With a cold air mass building overhead, it’s not out of the question that this means a few of the mountains see some snow flakes. I’m not expecting meaningful snow accumulation at this time.

Cooler but brighter weather is in store to round out the work week, with temperatures back close to 60 degrees by next weekend. Soak up and make the most of the 70+ degree temperatures over the next few days, because temperatures like this may be ready to go on hiatus for a few months!
