CLEVELAND, OH. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — After a slow start to the season, things could be picking up for Cincinnati after they got their third win, and second in a row, over the Browns on Saturday. Granted, Cleveland only has one win this season.

The Bengals started off fast. A 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown from Charlie Jones would put the Bengals on top quick. It was the first Bengals kickoff returned for a touchdown since Brandon Wilson returned one against the Giants in 2020.

After the standout opening play, the Cincinnati offense could not get much going downfield in the first half.

In the second half, Joe Burrow connected with both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins for touchdowns. These explosive plays were key for Cincinnati, considering the Bengals offensive statistics were not anything eye-catching. They went 2-13 on third down, and had 24 total plays less than the Browns.

This win comes after a 17-7 victory on the road against the Giants on October 13th, who were also at the bottom of the NFC North.

The Bengals are still looking for their first win in front of the jungle. They are back at home on Sunday to host the Eagles at 1 pm.
