LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead on Saturday.
According to police, around 10:50 p.m. officers were called to the 400 block of East Fifth Street for a shooting with a victim.
Upon arrival, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 24-year-old Dion Jermaine Higgins.
No suspect information has been released at this time.
