The YMCA North End Youth Center partnered with Common Wealth Murals to create the mural located at the facility on Dwight Street.

The center’s youth joined Springfield artist, ‘Self,’ in creating this mural that was designed to represent the life of local youth. This mural initiative is meant to enhance the city’s aesthetics and pedestrian experience when walking by.

“We are trying to bring some fresh ideas to this facility, and really give it some life,” says Springfield City Councilor Lavar Click-Bruce. “A lot of people don’t know that this facility is here and what we do here. This sheds some light and beautifies our city.”

Common Wealth Murals has a guide to all of the murals in Springfield so far.
