Springfield College officially dedicated its new Health Sciences Center and celebrated its successful conclusion of the Advancing Humanics Campaign with a reception Saturday morning.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield College officially dedicated its new Health Sciences Center and celebrated its successful conclusion of the Advancing Humanics Campaign with a reception Saturday morning.

The celebration is the result of $53 million raised, the largest capital campaign in the history of the institution. The Advancing Humanics Campaign is focused on continuing Springfield College’s humanics tradition of excellence in educating students for leadership and service to others. Springfield College President emphasizing the college’s commitment to health sciences.

Mary-Beth Cooper, the President of Springfield College told 22News, “We know that there is such a need for healthcare providers at every level. PAs, OTs, PTs, DBTs, and the list goes on. And so we look at the needs emerging in society, it’s unbelievable how many employees we’re going to need to produce and make sure that our students are ready to go out, and they always are.”

The reception Saturday showcased the new building’s innovative spaces, including many student workspaces and the Robotti Simulation Center, which will provide students with an optimal hands-on experience. With this new state-of-the-art facility, Springfield College students will continue to make a positive impact in the healthcare field.
