The City of Northampton is asking residents to participate in a community health survey.

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP)– The City of Northampton is asking residents to participate in a community health survey.

The Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) survey is part of the Healthier Northampton initiative that is working to address health issues in the city. It is an opportunity for residents to take part in planning Northampton’s health programs and services for the future that will meet the community’s health needs.

The city is hoping to get a least 5,000 responses. DHHS Health Commissioner Merridith O’Leary states, “By participating in this survey, residents will help the DHHS make informed decisions about future health programs and policies. Understanding real experiences with healthcare and resident concerns is essential for developing impactful and meaningful strategies.”  

The survey is open to all Northampton residents and is completely voluntary and confidential. It is available in Spanish and English on the Northampton Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) website, or to take the survey over the phone or receive a paper copy contact the DHHS at 413-587-1214. Participants can also take part to win one of ten $100 prizes.
