MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Over the course of two days, two separate traffic stops in Mt. Juliet led to the arrests of three Nashville men and the recovery of two stolen firearms, officials said.

According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, a traffic stop was performed on Golden Bear Gateway for a window tint violation on Thursday, Oct. 24. As a result, officers found a handgun that was reportedly stolen from a vehicle in the TriStar Summit Medical Center parking lot in Hermitage.

Authorities said an 18-year-old Nashville man was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Wilson County Jail. However, law enforcement did not share any additional details about the teenager’s identity or the charges he faces.

This news comes after a similar incident from Wednesday, Oct. 23. During another traffic stop for a window tint violation, police said they discovered a 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, also from Nashville, had a Glock handgun stolen from Nashville, marijuana, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine in their possession.

According to officials, both suspects were known felons with a history of robbery convictions. They were arrested and booked into the Wilson County Jail. Once again, authorities did not identify the suspects or release information about the charges against them.

“These arrests underscore our officers ongoing commitment to proactive policing efforts aimed at ensuring our community remains safe from actual incidents that harm Mt. Juliet’s residents or visitors,” the police department posted on social media platform X.
