“It was clear that two boys out of the group, at least, jumped onto our property and they ran into [a Halloween decoration and] tackled it,” Undersander said. “Then they stood it up again and tackled it again.”

The decorations mean a lot to Chelsea.

“It was so cool and it was so much work and they destroyed it in, like, fifteen seconds,” Undersander added. “It was crazy.”

She said that it was a labor of love from her husband, taking three weeks to make.

“I am a huge Pokémon Go fan…so my husband, for Halloween, decided to build this huge, bespoke Gengar statue,” Undersander told News 2. “It’s a ghost Pokémon. It was purple. It was eight feet tall [and] six feet wide.”

After talking to neighbors, Undersander said that this group didn’t stop at destroying her property. She says they terrorized the neighborhood.

“[They were] smashing windows with pumpkins,” Undersander added. “They dented garage doors. They threw rocks at cars. They paintballed things.”

Police said that they were investigating the thousands in damage done. On a positive note, Undersander said that two of the teens in the video apologized to her. She said that she appreciated the gesture and as a new mother, she hoped the teens learn their lesson.

“I would hate to ruin their lives,” Undersander said. “They’re so young and we’ve all done stupid things while young, but also this was so over-the-top terrible. Especially the window-smashing — you could kill someone.”

Undersander said that she doesn’t plan to redecorate for Halloween because it’s just a few days away. She said that this incident won’t ruin her spirit for Thanksgiving or Christmas.
