BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A temporary new traffic change will go into effect Monday, Oct. 28 in the Bridge Boulevard reconstruction project area.

Westbound traffic on Bridge Boulevard wanting to turn south onto La Vega will instead be detoured to Isleta and then to Hardy Avenue. The closure will be in place until the late afternoon of Oct. 30, allowing for roadway surfacing and paving at the intersection.

Bridge Boulevard is undergoing construction in three phases. Improvements include new asphalt resurfacing, ADA-compliant sidewalks and ramps, bike lanes, adaptive traffic signals, and lighting for pedestrians and motorists.
