ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Three local teachers were given school supplies thanks to a donation drive. Albany Common Councilmember Sergio Adams said three business owners raised $1,500 for this year’s Adopt a Classroom program.
The teachers were provided with supplies such as notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, markers, and gift cards. All the teachers work in seventh and eighth grade classrooms.
Supplies were dropped off at Kipp Valley Tech, Green Tech Charter School and Delaware Community School.
The donors were Don Andrews, the owner of UpstateCannaCo, Jemila Adams, owner of Johnnie’s on Broadway, and Rosey from Emeraldz.
