What We’re Tracking

Hot & breezy again Tuesday

Mid-week storm chances

Heat back up late week

Mostly clear and warm tonight with south wind at 10-20mph. Overnight temperatures will only fall into the middle to upper 70s by Tuesday morning.

We look to hold on to the heat into Tuesday afternoon. Heat index values will continue to be higher than the air temperature. Highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s for Tuesday, but heat indices in the middle 90s. Make sure if you have to be outside to take frequent breaks in the shade and stay hydrated! There should be a fairly strong southerly wind at 15-25mph for the afternoon, which will help it feel a little better.

Isolated storms are possible late Tuesday, mainly over the northwestern counties of the area. By Wednesday, we should start to see more of an active weather pattern take place that will give us a few chances for rain Wednesday into Wednesday night. This should cool us down into the middle 80s for Wednesday before we clear out and heat back up as the week goes on.
