BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Preston Chauvin is a world traveler.

He’s visited 37 countries, five continents, and now all 50 states.

KX News got the chance to sit down with him and discuss his experience.

“This is my 50th state that I’ve been to, so I’ve saved the best for last,” shared Chauvin. “I’m really impressed with North Dakota; I didn’t know what to expect.”

Chauvin and his daughter spent Father’s Day weekend traveling North Dakota, getting to see Fargo, Bismarck, and Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

With the friendly people, the wild horses, and the clean communities, Chauvin says he’s been thoroughly impressed.

He says traveling has given him a great perspective on how blessed America really is.

“I just love adventures, seeing new places, and seeing how people live,” shared Chauvin. “I’ve been to some pretty poor countries, and it makes you appreciate what you have as an American. It’s kind of a shame that every American doesn’t have a chance to travel to countries that are way less fortunate than we are.”

Next up on Chauvin’s list is Greece. He says it’s the only country in Europe he hasn’t been to.
