PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Prince George County will host more than 800 young athletes and coaches in July for the Dixie Softball World Series.

The tournament will host teams from age groups 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-15 at the J.E.J. Moore Athletic Complex. The tournament’s opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, July 19 and the first game is set to take place Saturday, July 20.

The championship games for the 11-12 and 13-15 age groups are set to take place on Tuesday, July 23 and the championship games for the 7-8 and 9-10 age groups are set to take place on Tuesday, July 30.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the tournament. An ticket for the entire tournament will cost $25 for adults and $15 for kids between the ages of 6 and 12. A one-day ticket will cost $10 for adults at $5 for kids between 6 and 12.

One the schedules and brackets are released, they will be available on the Prince George County Parks Foundation’s website.
