BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A New Town man has been injured and is facing multiple charges after a three-vehicle crash took place on the morning of Saturday, June 22.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at approximately 1:37 a.m, a Dodge Durango was traveling westbound on Highway 23 approximately two miles west of New Town when it struck the rear end of a Freightliner semi pulling a tanker trailer traveling the same way. The Durango then sideswiped a Ram traveling eastbound. The vehicles then all came to rest in different parts of the highway: the Durango in the east ditch, the Freightliner in the westbound lane, and the Ram on the shoulder of the eastbound lane.
Neither the driver of the Semi (a 24-year-old man from Hoover, AL) nor the two individuals inside the Ram (a 45-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, both from Stanley) were injured in the accident.
The driver of the Durango — a 35-year-old man from New Town — suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. He is currently facing charges of Driving Under the Influence and Driving Under Suspension.
