ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Albemarle County Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place early Sunday morning.
At 7:54 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, Albemarle County Police and Fire Rescue Department units were called to the 3200 block of Boonesville Road for a report of a shooting with injuries.
When officers arrived, they found a victim with a gunshot wound. According to police, the adult victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police said this is an isolated event and that one suspect is in custody.
