Officers responded to a shooting near East Colfax Avenue and Peoria Street around 3:30 a.m. Friday and found a man with a gunshot wound, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased, according to the release. His identity has not been publicly released.
Police believe the shooting was targeted, the release states. There are no suspects at this time.
