CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County Public Schools is inviting its rising kindergarten and pre-k students to ten sessions designed to teach them how to ride the school bus.

The ten sessions, taking place at each of the county’s ten public library branches, are designed to teach young students how to get on and off the bus, as well as bus safety. Students from outside of Chesterfield’s school district are allowed to attend but will not be allowed board the bus.

The first session will take place at the Meadowdale branch at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26 and the last session will take place at the Ettrick-Matoaca branch at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5.

Instruction will be available in Spanish at the Meadowdale Branch and at the LaPrade branch at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 26.
