State police reported the arrest of two people from Vermont following a traffic stop in Fort Edward.
FORT EDWARD, N.Y. (NEWS10) — State police reported the arrest of two people from Vermont following a traffic stop in Washington County. Jake Desjadon, 37, and Ashley Brown, 36, both of Fair Haven, are facing several charges.
On September 2 around 1:50 a.m., troopers pulled over a car on Broadway in Fort Edward for reportedly committing a vehicle and traffic law violation. The ensuing investigation determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen to Vermont State Police on September 1.
The driver and passenger, identified as Brown and Desjadon respectively, were both then taken into custody. According to state police, Desjadon initially provided false identifying information while being interrogated.
During the arrest, troopers recovered quantities of unspecified controlled substances and glass smoking devices with drug residue from the car. Brown and Desjadon now face the following charges:

Third-degree criminal possession of stolen property
Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
False personation
Brown
Third-degree criminal possession of stolen property
Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
Vehicle and traffic law violation
Desjadon and Brown were arraigned at the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court. Brown was then released on her own recognizance, while Desjadon was remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility without bail.
