According to officials, Becker’s girlfriend, 30-year-old Autumn Joiner, was shot inside their Hillmeade Court apartment on Friday, Sept. 6.

Police said Becker called 911 and reported Joiner shot herself in the head while they were in bed, but he later changed his story, claiming his finger slipped into the trigger guard of a pistol and caused it to discharge.

Authorities said evidence and the detective’s investigation conflicted with Becker’s version of events and showed that Joiner was unhappy living with him.

The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office reported Becker is being held in the Downtown Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
