Old Songkhla Town will come to life from tomorrow until Sept 16 as part of the “Lighting of Songkhla Lagoon 2024” festival, which illuminates the history of the once-thriving commercial hub, which blends Thai, Chinese, and Muslim customs.
Flanked by classic shophouses and historical buildings, Nang Ngam, Nakhon Nok and Nakhon Nai roads will serve as major entertainment venues where visitors can take in a collection of 16 lighting art installations such as the Gate of Revolution, 360 degree Light Life, Root to Life, and Forest Memories which illustrate the way of the waterside community.
There will also be splendid aerial drone performances by the Radio Control Airplane Modeler Sport Association, a live musical performance by famous artists, and local cuisine.
