Metro police said that the Thursday evening shooting appeared to stem from a large fight.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities responded to a shooting in the Napier area on Thursday evening that sent one victim to an area hospital.

The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said that officers responded to a call on University Court just after 7 p.m. Officers were advised that the incident was caught on cameras in the area.

Upon investigation, the incident seemed to stem from a large fight. At one point, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the teen before fleeing on foot. MNPD officers are attempting to locate the suspect.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, according to Metro Dispatch. No further details were immediately released.
