A 17-year-old student fell to her death from the fourth floor of her school in Samut Prakan during lunch break on Wednesday. Police believe it was a case of suicide triggered by depression.
Samut Prakan provincial station deputy inspector Pol Capt Adithep Pocharoen said the death of the Matthayom 4 (Grade 10) student, whose identity is being withheld, was reported at 12.30pm that day.
The girl’s body was found face down in front of a six-storey building at the school. She had sustained multiple injuries, including several broken limbs and severe head trauma.
Pol Capt Adithep said a teacher had seen the girl standing in a fourth-floor corridor of the building with a vacant expression on her face.
