Citizens called 1677 to ask for help after a phone fell into a canal on Lat Phrao Road, Soi 26. Volunteers were contacted to help.
Mr. Suphawit reported via the 1677 hotline asking for help. He dropped his mobile phone in the Nam Kaew canal, Lat Phrao Road, Soi 26, Intersection 4, Chom Phon Subdistrict, Chatuchak District, Bangkok.
The Joint Communication Center coordinated with CB Wang Thong volunteers 07,33, CB Huai Khwang 022, Wang Thong Rescue 026, Khok Kram Rescue 006,012, Lat Phrao Rescue 001 to help. They found a canal and black water. Initially, the volunteers went down to search but could not find it. Then, the volunteers brought equipment, diving suits, and oxygen tanks to search again. The difficulty of searching this time was that they had to use their hands to feel along the ground and it was light rain. But in the end, it was not beyond the volunteers’ abilities. They searched for the phone until they found it and successfully lifted it out of the canal. It was then returned to the owner.
