Fans had the opportunity to meet and mingle with players, as well as coaches, which includes Gerry McNamara of the men’s squad and Terry Primm of the women’s team.

For both coaches, the excitement of a new season is already palpable.

“Tonight’s event is right on the heels of the next time we’re gonna be in here,” said McNamara. “It’s always exciting to get the fans together. But when you’re gettin’ them together for the last hurrah before it gets real, I think that’s the most exciting thing about tonight.”

“Being in the community; doing something as simple as grocery shopping, and meeting someone that’s super fired up about me being appointed…the new group that we have comin’ in…you can’t help but match that energy,” said Primm. “We couldn’t be more ecstatic to start the season here pretty soon.”

The men tip off their season Nov. 4 at MVP against Brown, while Primm’s bunch open up their new campaign at home against Army Nov. 6.
