CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An officer is expected to be okay after being shot in Chesterfield County overnight.
The McBee Police Department said that the officer was shot overnight, was treated for his injuries at a nearby medical center, and is expected to be okay. The shooting occurred near McBee High School and a convenience store near S. 11th Street.
SLED officials later said the officer was hospitalized and that they were investigating the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this time and we’ll have more details as they come into the newsroom. There is no mention of a suspect yet.
