HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi brought back a 10-year-old challenge and he’s challenging others to participate.
The challenge was all the rage during the summer of 2014 with a goal to help raise money for ALS research.
According to the ALS Association, the challenge helped raise more than $115 million to support the terminal disease.
Mayor Blangiardi challenged Governor Josh Green, Council Chair Tommy Waters and University of Hawaii Women’s Basketball Coach Laura Beeman.
Green, Waters nor Beeman have not answered as to whether they have accepted the challenge or not.
